URRS Proposals In compliance with the new URRS requirements, IHE were required to submit two documents to the Coordinating Board: URRS Proposal on October 31, URRS Evaluation Design for their strategies on November 30, 2007 How does this program contribute to your institution’s Closing the Gaps by 2015 participation and success targets?
URRS Proposals Proposals that are deemed making progress towards Closing the Gaps by 2015: Prairie View A&M University; The University of Texas-Pan American; St. Philips College; Tarrant County College; Temple College; The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston; and The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
Proposals that are deemed making progress towards Closing the Gaps by 2015 Financial Aid Workshops; College Application Seminars; Summer Programs/Pre-College Preparatory Programs; Mentorship Initiatives; Academic Advising; and Residential Programs URRS Proposals
Next Steps Evaluation Design/Tool Evaluation team is creating a tool for institutions to adopt; and Evaluation tool will be required for completion for the URRS reports.
URRS Webcast February 12, :00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.; Address challenges and strategies proposed from institutions; Assist with developing effective recruitment and retention strategies to develop large scale programs/services; Assist your campus in setting realistic targets towards Closing the Gaps by 2015; and Develop stronger and more effective means of communication. Convene expert advisory group to review submitted proposals and recommend changes; Conduct site visits in April/May 2008; Request updated proposals by June 1, 2008; and Incorporate into THECB Accountability System. Next Steps Continued
