 All th grade students in Central School District 301  No prior music experience is required.

 Students will come to the middle school twice a week for band practices before school (7:30-8:45), once for full band and once for small group lessons.  Group lessons and full band will begin the second week of school.  These rehearsals will be held at:  Prairie Knolls Middle School for students attending Prairie View and Country Trails  Central Middle School for students attending HBT and Lily Lake  A more specific rehearsal schedule will be available at the time of our summer band camp.

 Students are encouraged to find a ride to practice  Transportation is available if there is a middle school bus in your area  Students will be bused from the middle school to their grade school after band rehearsal.  There will be no charge for this transportation.  Students must bring their own instrument and books. Stands are provided for rehearsal.

 2 concerts over the course of the school year  Concert dates will be available during the summer band session.  Uniform  white blouse or shirt  black slacks  black belt  black socks  black shoes

 Practice Schedule  Weekly Goal established by teacher  Written in front page of Essential Elements 2000  100 minutes of practicing a week  20 minutes a day, 5 days a week  Student should write down their practice minutes and have parents initial at end of each week
