Cyber Citizenship

What is Cyber Citizenship? So your asking me what is cyber citizenship? Well cyber citizenship is a native or naturalized member of a computer world who owes allegiance to it’s government and it entitled to it’s protection.

We are connected In this modern age we are connected even when we don’t know it! With , myspace, facebook, yahoo, cell phone, and instant massagers We are citizens of the cyber world!!!

Have you ever thought about the fact that you are a citizen to whatever you may be connected too? We are connected in so many things!!! Yahoo, myspace, facebook, aol, cell phones all these things we are connected to but we are also citizens of them too!

Problems of our connections!! Just about everyone is connected to myspace, facebook, yahoo,Etc., but with be connected there also comes problems! Being connected means signing up for things which means giving out some of your personal information; like what state and city you live in, your age, your gender, and also maybe even you address. With giving this information hackers are able to get into your profile and look up all of your information being able to track you at any giving point and time.

Solutions to our problem!! With being connected there they are problems, but with problems comes solutions!! There is this new thing out and its called lying! It really helps. If your talking to someone online and you don’t know who it is the best thing to do if log off on them, but if you don’t want to be rude to them lie! For example if they ask for ASL (age, sex, location) then you could lie and tell them that your are 45, you live with your mother and you live in Africa and your learning to do the mumbo jumbo!! That’s some serious lying but If they ever tried to hunt you down I don’t think they are going to find you! One reason they aren’t going to find you if because I can’t come up with one dance on this earth called the mumbo jumbo. Another reason they won’t find you is because Africa is such a large continent and if they are going to try to find you in Africa, they have a lot of looking to do!

Choosing where you go wisely! So as you all know we are connected, but we should all choose our chat rooms wisely! Just because it says it is a Christian chat room doesn’t mean that all that is going to be said in that chat room is Christian related! They can still be predators, hackers, or old people in there!! We must be careful what chat rooms we log into and we must be careful who we talk to and what we say!

Conclusion So have you learned anything yet? Knowing that where we go and what we say can be dangerous to us I hope people will now be more careful. People out there don’t tell the truth all the time! People may seem like there are you friend, but really they are trying to get on your good side just so they can take any information that they may need! Remember stay alert and don’t talk to people you don’t know!
