Cyber bullying is becoming bigger and bigger. People don’t realize that what they’re doing is hurting people. Cyber bullying is causing anxiety, depression, self harm and in some cases, suicide. Dr. Martin Wild said that cyber bullying is poised to turn into the biggest online concern, already effecting up to 35% of children. Cyber bullying is an issue that everybody should pay attention to.

People have no idea how long something they say can stay in ones mind

The things people say online can be really mean. People often act bigger on the internet, then they do in person. It’s unbelievable to think that people can say things like that and get away with it. People don’t understand that words hurt and that they will stick with you for the rest of your life. Even when you think that it won’t, it’s there. worthless unloved ugly fat unwanted stupid loser hopeless idiot Too short Too tall gay No one likes you loner

Never put someone else down to make yourself feel better

Cyber bullying is causing people to feel bad about themselves, like they don’t matter and nobody cares. The people who are being bullied usually won’t say anything about it. 16% of teens and preteens don’t say anything. Instead, they’ll start to self-harm. Not everybody self-harms but a lot of people think it’s the best way to deal with it. Sometimes the bullying gets so bad, people commit suicide. 8% of people being cyber bullied try to end their lives. It doesn’t sound like much, which is good, but it shouldn’t be that high.

Cyber bullying effects a lot of people. About 13 million people from ages 6-17 were and are victims of cyber bullying. 15%-20% of children are bullied in schools. While 43% are bullied online. People believe that it’s easier to get away with bullying when online.

The worst part of the day is trying to get up enough courage to go to school

Cyber bullying is causing lots of problems, one example is a girl that got cyber bullied before and after she committed suicide. Before her death, she posted a video on YouTube talking about her experience with bullying. Not only did she get cyber bullied, she also got verbally, and physically bullied. She also got blackmailed the whole time. The pain of the experience caused her to self harm, then kill herself. Because of the blackmailer she had to constantly change schools, but the bullying got worse because the blackmailer would find her information and tell everybody about her past.

Some things to do to prevent cyber bullying is to never share information online if it can be used against you. Watch your tone when you communicate online and don’t participate in cyber bullying behaviour. Something else we can do is to support and help the people that are being bullied by upstanding. Something you should remember is that once you put something on the internet, it stays there forever.

Harassment Impersonating Someone Using Photographs Trickery Taking Pictures of Someone Without Asking Teasing Being Rude Excluding Swearing At Someone Flaming Bashing Beating on someone

Nobody has the right to define who you are. Be true to yourself because your opinion is the only one that matters
