Wetlands are lands that have many trees and are wet as you know. Some of the examples of wetlands are bogs, swamps, and marshes. Wetlands are like a bridge to land and water. The wetlands are one of the most productive ecosystems. To be called a wetland, an area must be filled or soaked with water at least part of the year. Wetlands marsh swamp Bog

Introduced species pose a serious threat to the native habitats and communities of the Everglades Introduced Species Introduced species pose a serious threat to the ecosystems of south Florida including the Everglades. Native to other locations, introduced species are introduced to new areas through human activities. These species were originally, food sources, ornamentals, or as biological controls. These species are able to outcompete native flora and fauna for food and space due to lack of population controls such as predators and disease.

The Burmese pythons are unique in that they’re an apex predator species. They are the top of the food chain, with no natural predators of their own. They're eating deer, wood storks, and hurting raccoons and rabbits. The Burmese pythons can grow up to 23 feet long and can weigh up to 200 pounds. They are a small part of a nationwide invasive species problem. Burmese python

The American alligator is a rare success story of an endangered animal not only saved from extinction but now thriving. State and federal protections, habitat preservation efforts, and reduced demand for alligator products have improved the species' wild population to more than one million and growing today. 1.Avoid an encounter by keeping alert for snakes. 2.Fend off the snake with your snake stick if it approaches. 3.Stay calm if the snake loops around you. If you relax, it may not attempt to constrict you-- in fact, it may just be curious. Struggling, however, prompts the snake to squeeze. 4.Wrap your non-dominant arm around your ribs for stability and protection. 5.Take slow, shallow breaths as the snake uses breathing as a cue for constriction. 6.Grab the snake's head with your free hand, and pull it backwards to unwind the coil. steps to surviving a constrictor attack
