Using 10 sided Dice,, Using this template Roll dice 6 times Place each number in a “place” Winner has largest number

Variations Aim for smallest number Decimals BEDMAS eg + × =

Using 10 sided Dice Template can be Ladder or Rocket Throw 2 dice 6 times Students have to place numbers in numerical order on ladder

Variations Students choose which number is 10’s and which units 3 dice, up to 999 Decimals Can be done whole class or groups

Also fractions….. Using the template Throw a 6 sided dice ( or 10 for higher level) Place each number in a square so that the fractions go from smallest to largest

Some other excellent starters are From the Number Sense series These can usually be whole class or group

Try to…. Make variations on games ( change order) Most can be used for many topics eg fractions/ decimals etc Use students’ ideas/version eg Loopy
