THE DIGITAL LIBRARY  Collection of documents dealing with Brno University of Technology (BUT) – scholarly, historical, media - Central management of documents in integrated environment - Easier searchability  A service for students and employees as well as the public  Promoting of BUT to raise general awareness about it Building of the Digital library of BUT

CONTENT I  ETD‘s -The main focus of the Digital Library of BUT -Currently the bachelor projects and master‘s thesis are being dealt with -Defined by rector‘s regulation no. 2/2009 (on ETDs – their layout, submitting, publishing and depositing) -Prescribed ETD‘s structure, standart layout of the title page -Licene agreement -It is all done by menas of the information systém -Archiving of the ETDs and making them accesible is the responsibility of the Central Library -Workflow Building of the Digital library of BUT

WORKFLOW Building of the Digital library of BUT 1. Assignment and selection of topics 2. Generating of hte title page and cover 3. Submitting of the ETDs - Full text - Entering of the metadata – key words, abstracts 4. Creation of license agreement 5. Correction

WORKFLOW Building of the Digital library of BUT 6. Submitting of the printed version of the TEDs - Acknowledgement that the printed and electronic version are the same - Acknowledgement of secret and public conformity - Licence agreement 7. Production of review 8. Publishing before the thesis defence - ETDs, metadata, assessment reports 9. Completion of results of the thesis defence and state final examinations 10. Publishing of the ETDs in the Digital Library
