AGENDA: 10/4/2013 E.Q.: How do I have a conversation with a passage? Vocabulary Quiz, Week 3; get out a ½ sheet of paper! Finish Antihero notes Quotation Pass-back Activity! Reading Minute: The Handmaid’s Tale

Quotation Pass-Back Rules: 1.Randomly select a quotation from Ms. Howard. No complaining. No trading. Just like in life, you must play the cards you’re dealt. 2.Glue your quotation to the middle of your piece of paper. 3.You must write some comment / analysis / definition / connection / anecdote…etc. in 2 short minutes Draw an arrow to the portion of the quotation you are specifically referring to. Feel free to circle/highlight words in the passage, but make sure others can still read the passage. WRITE YOUR NAME UNDER YOUR WORDS. 4.When time is called. Pass your quote back to your neighbor. They should repeat step #3. We will keep passing until your quote has passed through all the hands and minds of your classmates. 5.Let the games begin!
