European Migration in the 20th Century Questionnaire

1. In the first half of the 20th century Poland and Upper Silesia were: A - essentially a land of emigration; B - essentially a land of immigration; C - both a land of emigration and immigration.

2. In the second half of the 20th century: A - emigration came to a rest while immigration increased; B - immigration came to a rest while emigration increased; C - immigration increased but emigration didn’t come to a rest.

3. In the 20th century people from Poland emigrated mainly to: A - Australia, America, East Europe; B - America, Africa, Asia; C - Australia, Africa, West Europe.

4. In the 20th century immigrants to your country came mainly from: A - East Europe; B - Central and North Africa; C - Asia.

5. Silesia was affected by emigration mostly because of: A - Poverty B - Political reasons C - Lack of prospects and natural resources
