Requirements  2.0 GPA  No U’s  Waivers Signed  Club Fee  3 Lessons

How do we prevent injury?

Responsibility Code  Stay in control  People ahead have right of way  Don’t obstruct trails/Be seen  Look uphill when merging and yield  Prevent runaway equipment  Observe all signs and warnings  Know how to load, ride, and unload lifts

Who has right of way?

Proper Clothing and Equipment

Clothing  Polyester  One pair of socks  Warmers  Gaitor  Goggles  Helmet  Gloves  Snowpants  Layers

Cloudy or Night Conditions  Wear yellow lenses  Wear clear lenses at night  Slow down  Drag poles

How much will this cost?

Expenses with Rentals:  Transportation and Club Fee$60  $25/night for first three weeks$75  $20/night for remaining 3 weeks$60  Total:$195  Money for dinner?

Expenses without Rentals:  Transportation and Club Fee$60  $25/night for first three weeks$75  $10/night for remaining 3 weeks$30  Total:$165  Money for dinner?

Expenses with a Season’s Pass:  Transportation and Club Fee$60  $25/night for first three weeks$45  $0/night for remaining 3 weeks$0  Total:$105  Money for dinner?

Parent Volunteers  Schedule with ??  Be at school by 3:10  Ride bus up and back with students  Help students get settled with equipment and lessons  Be available (skiing or in the lodge)  Can ski at a discounted rate of $12

Protocol for Ski Trip Days  Mark clothing, duffle, and equipment with name  Bring above to room 167 in the morning  Dress in bathrooms right after school  Load self and equipment onto bus by 3:15  HAVE THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE AT WOLF MOUNTAIN  Load bus by 8:00  Parents pick up at FJH at 9:00

How to get yourself kicked out of the ski and snowboarding club:  Academic or citizenship violations  Break a school or bus rule  Ski or ride in an unsafe manner  Harassment, bullying, or any other inappropriate behavior

So, if I’m going to join, what do I do now?  Turn in to Mrs. Anderson the club application, emergency medical application, copy of your first term report card, and rental form (both sides) by December 10.  Send an to Mrs. Anderson from the address you wish to have on the list. Include the participating student’s name by December 10.  Pay $195 or $165 to Judy in the office, and bring receipt to Mrs. Anderson by December 10.
