Definition The Government define Domestic Abuse as: Any incident of threatening behaviour, violence or abuse (psychological, physical, sexual, financial or emotional) between adults who are or have been intimate partners or family members, regardless of gender or sexuality.

WHAT ARE MARACs? Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference, Partnership approach – all can refer! Lead Agency – Derbyshire Constabulary Core objective is to share information No single agency can meet a victim’s needs Early actions identified to reduce risk Victims do NOT attend MARACs

CAADA DASH – Risk Assessment Recognised risk factors prevalent in domestic abuse homicides Questions around, children, family, drugs, alcohol, mental health, previous incidents, level of violence, stalking, harassment, pregnancy, suicide, fear and much more… Score 1-15 – covers low to medium – local services – Professional Judgement Score 16+ – high risk – MARAC / IDVA Complete with victim – face to face – referral form Consent & sharing without it! CAADA Risk Assessment
