Islamophobia What should the United States government do in order to combat and solve the problem of Islamophobia?

Agenda Current Situation Policy option #1- Keep the current situation Policy option #2- Education Policy option #3- Anti-Blasphemy law Recommendation

Current Situation Islamophobia- xenophobia that can be simply defined as the discrimination, fear or the irrational hatred towards Islam Fear or dislike for Muslims has grown into a larger problem Increased prejudice since 9/11 Muslims face discrimination daily for acts that were carried out by extremists

Keep the Current Situation Do not enact any direct legislation to solve the problem Allow it time and for the people to figure it out on their own Not enacting policy allows government avoid any problems that may arise from favoring a religion

Education Create centers around the nation led by Muslims Allow people to become educated on the topic Peaceful and slow solution to problem

Anti-Prejudice Law Elimination of discriminatory acts against all religions Does not favor one religion Aggressive solution to the problem

Recommendation Education It is a slow transition into solving the problem Does not force change on to the people Peaceful change in the nation
