Synchronous Coupling Features & Functions MDC – Permanent-Magnet Synchronous “Barrier” Coupling – Disc Type  Transmit high amounts of torque without contact.  Completely eliminate the need for shaft seals by transmitting torque through stainless steel barriers, guaranteeing 100% leak free operation.  All stainless steel construction available for complete hermetic sealing of the coupling, so it can operate completely submerged.  Excellent in Quick Disconnect applications. As magnetism does not have strict alignment requirements, all that is needed is to get the two hubs fairly close together, and you have an automatic connection.

 Eliminate vibration from one shaft to the next, as there is no physical connection.  Torque Limitation – These clutches all have an inherent ability to limit torque by slipping at their preset torque level.  High misalignment capability even with high parallel offset.  All Rimtec Couplings can be modified to fit your current application, and new custom designs are also available to meet your more unique requirements.
