SLIM:A math model SLIM-Software Lifecycle Management Uses scatter diagrams and curve fitting techniques to find relationships in observed data. Consists of methods tied together with decision- support tools

Advantages of SLIM Uses linear programming Simplifies strategic decision making Generates reports and graphs Offers value added planning

Disadvantages of SLIM Works best on large projects Model is sensitive to size estimate Model is sensitive to technology factor Tool is complex Software size must be identified in advance
