PROJECT NAME: “Mechanical System for school of optical” (An-Najah university College) Prep ared by: Abdulla Alawneh Islam Salahat Mohammed Jaber Majdi Shwawra

INTRODUCTION: The aim of our project is to design installation of heating, ventilation and air condition system (HVAC) for the school of optical which will be built in Nablus city / Palestine. The school consist of six floors, two floor up the ground, three basement and aground. There are different rooms inside the building.

 Location  Country : Palestine / west bank.  City: Nablus.  Street Al_Jonead Nablus.  Elevation : m above sea level  Latitude: 32N  Longitude : 35 E  Building face sits at north orientation.  The wind speed in Nablus above 5 m/s

Floor No. Heating Load (Kw) Heating Load (TON) Heating Load (CFM) Basement Basement Basement Ground Floor First Floor Second Floor Total heating load

Floor No. Cooling Load (Kw) Cooling Load (TON) Cooling Load (CFM Basement Basement Basement Ground Floor First Floor Second Floor Total Cooling load

Floor No.Fixture Units Basement 2125 Basement 1158 Ground Floor117 First Floor120 Second Floor100 Total620 The main Bulding Drain is 6 in. And the size of stack as in table is 4 in.

Floor No.Fixture Units Basement Basement Basement 1 99 Ground Floor 96 First Floor 94 Second Floor 98 Total601 Total NO of F.U =601 F.U, From table no 3.3 the total demand is 170 gpm. The cold water demand = 170 × 0.75 = GPM The hot water demand = 170 × 0.25 = 42.5 GPM. -Domestic water =8.7 kw. -Flush water tank 380 f.u = 105 gpm. -Domestic water tank 221 f.u =70 gpm = 70*0.25= 17.5 GPM = 3.97 m3/h

 In our project we use the fire hose cabinet which distributed in each floor such as each cabinet cover (15 m) with 50 gpm. And we use Carbon Dioxide (CO2) extinguishers Dry chemical Extinguishers.

 Fan Coil Units Selection In Our project we used Ducted FCU or Room air from Petra catalogs is CBP type or P as shown in the code.  Chiller Selection - The Total sum of cooling load = 508 KW = 145 Ton So we select 150 ton R 134-a chiller it’s manufactured with three compressors and with the same compressors type. The Chiller code is: W P S a S

 - The Boiler is selected from Lamborghini company, the catalog of Lamborghini company is used to selections depending on the Total sum of Heating load total in KW  Total heating = Q) Heating load 514 kw +Q) domestic = = 522 KW  Q) Boiler total =1.1*522.7= 575 KW  -from Lamborghini company catalogs we choose boiler and ignition flame, are  1- BIG –FK 650  2- ECO70 /2

 The pumps is selected from WILO Company, by using programe: Description of PUMP Flow rateHead H (m) TYP OF PUMP FLUSH105(gpm)120COR-2MVIE5205/VR DOMESTIC70(gpm)120COR-2MVIE9504/ER- PN16 FIRE600 (L/S)120SCP 400/660DV CHILLER5.5(L/S)120NL 40/315 HEATING8.5(L/S)120NL 50/315
