 Born on January 15, 1929 at noon.  His dad was a preacher and his mom was a teacher.  He was from Atlanta, Georgia Dr. King

 He skipped two grades in high school.  He graduated in 1944 and went to college at 15 years old.  He was smart.  He read a lot of books.

 Martin married Correta Scott on June 8,  The Supreme Court ended segregation on May 17,  He led many marches  He did speeches

 He is a great leader.  He helped black people and white people drink from the same water fountain.  He did “I Have a Dream” Speech r_detailpage&v=V57lotnKGF8

 He is a good man.  He had a lot of people following him in his marches.  He had great character and was a good leader. He led the Alabama Bus Boycott.

 He helped to change the law so everyone is equal.  He led protests.  He was arrested many times for trying to make a change.

 He made a lot of friends.  He was on the cover of Time in  He won the Nobel Peace Prize in At age 35, Dr. King was the youngest man, the second American, and the third black man given the Nobel Peace Prize.

 He passed away on March 29,  He was only 39 years old but the doctors said his heart was of a 60 year old because of stress.

 We have parades  We have a national holiday in his honor  There are marches and walks to honor him. (San Antonio has the biggest in the United States)  All people can go to the same school, and work together.  Kids can play together at the park, no matter what color they are.  There are parks with his name.  We have schools named after him.
