PowerSchool Staff Information Extended Schema for School Year 2015

Updates to MI State Report Information for Staff Members  New data attributes include:  Exclude from Teacher-Student Data Link  Early On Caseload worker flag  Para Professional flag  Vocational Education Instructor flag  Virtual Delivery Teacher or Mentor flag  New data attributes conforming to Registry of Educational Personnel (REP)  Title I and Title II, Part A Teachers (Field 11)  Educator Effectiveness (Field 20)  Funded Position Status (Field 21)  New Teacher Professional Development (Field 24)

Special considerations…  Excluding a teacher from a Teacher-Student Data Link (TSDL) submission should be done with care, requiring review before the final submission at the end of the school year.  The LEP flag is used to list LEP instructors assigned to a student (LEP tab).  The Special Education flag is used to list Special Education instructors for a student (Special Education tab).  The Virtual Delivery flag is used to list virtual delivery mentor teachers assigned to a section. This is used in Michigan State Reporting for sections.  The educator effective code (Field 20) displays the current code value. Educator effectiveness requires a yearly evaluation, which is expected to be prepared independent of PowerSchool.  Full-Time Base Annual Salary (Field 28) is not entered in PowerSchool for privacy concerns.  School Assignment Data (Field 10) has eleven (11) reporting sub- categories that have not been supported by PowerSchool. Data in Field 10 is changed and reviewed before each REP submission.
