Transformation 2015 By Hailey Geller-Zawisha and Cayla Petrowski

Our Perfume Our new perfume is called Transformation 2015, in honor of everyone’s new resolutions and everyone going through a “transformation” for the new year. 6 inches 9 inches 4 inches ½ inch 1 inch 2 inches

Transformations Dilations: The body of the perfume bottle (main rectangle) to the sprayer at the top of the bottle. Reflection: The red and green triangles reflect. Symmetry: the triangles are symmetric to each other. Rotation: The triangles rotate 90 degrees. Translation: The line that splits the body of the perfume bottle in 2 shows a translation of the rectangles.

Our Inspiration Our inspiration for our perfume Transformation 2015 was Blue Desire Pour Femme, by Dolce & Gabanna. As you can see both perfume bottles have the line that splits the bottle, they both have rectangular bottles and the measurements of the sprayers are the same.

Creativity and Innovation 1)There are no aspects of our design that we would like to change or modify. The design is perfectly measured and symmetrical. Also it is festive with our choices of colors that go together with the Christmas season.

Entrepreneurial Literacy 2)The job functions graphic designers preform are listening to clients, creating visuals, and having research abilities. The education required is math, manly geometry, art, design, computer skills, and the ability to work with others. 3)Some skills we think that are important to have as a graphic designer are creativity, mathematics, originality, computer skills, and again, the ability to work with others.

Social and Cross-Cultural Skills 4)Different shapes can be used to display mood and messages in graphic design. As an example, squares are “trusted shapes”. People see them and see order, normality, and something formal. They are associated with honesty. Triangles, depending on how they are sitting, can be seen as unstable or stable, they are symbols for science, law and religion.

Critical Thinking 5)Graphic designers use geometry in many ways. Such as using geometry to find dimensions, appropriate lengths and for finding where certain shapes should be placed in a design. 6)Graphic designers can use technology to create designs with different shapes and transformations by using programs to draw and with those programs, edit the designs to edit and see what changes can be made to make the design better. As an example a designer could use a program to create a design and they can use the program to move certain things around to find how different things go together to make a perfect design.

Fin Happy Holidays!!!
