 Where are this region’s major cities, (top three by population) land forms and resources? Populations:  Massachusetts- Boston 617, 594  New York – New York City 8,175,133  Pennsylvania- Philadelphia 1,526,006 Land Forms:  Part of the Appalachian Mountains run into part of the lower states of the North East region.  Many hills in the upper states Resources:  Soil, Trees, Water, and oil Latitude and Longitude of largest city in region  40° 42' 51" N / 74° 0' 23" W What could be some of the reasons people chose to live in this  Region or large city?  People would want to live in this region because of the historical culture  The weather patterns  On the cost/water  New York- the main cities for shopping

How has climate affected the settlement of the r egion?  The climate has affected the settlement of the region because when the weather is cold no one wants to go on vacations there  When the weather is very warm many people vacation and settle on the cost *How has pollution affected the lives of the people in the region?  It affects the people on how they live because they are so many cars in the city of New York and many people don’t go outside or play in the parks when the air smells so bad.  Of the cost there isn’t many pollution because it is a small states that don’t have any big attractions that many things don’t happen.

Identify why people have chosen to live where they have in the region People in this region choose to live her because  New York- all the shops, cities, and parks  Rest of the states- many of them were the13 original colonies and all the culture and where all of our freedom and everything stated. How are goods transported to, within and out of region?  Car  Trains/ railroads  Plane  Rivers  Boat *What might happen if one or more of the major transportation route within the region were interrupted? It wouldn’t be good at all because New York has many transportation routes and since it is so big it have many things that all people wanted and that could slow the economy down and even all United States.

List and describe major tourist attractions  New York City- The Statue Of Liberty  The capitals of the states  Museums *What economic impact does the region have on the U.S. economy?  The economic impact that the region has on the U.S economy is money and since New York is so big, the whole United States gets a bunch of things from New York.
