Our school is founded in 1974 in Karatay KONYA.The name of the school is come from a pilot who died in a war.Our school is a secondary education institution. As the name (imam hatip) suggests, they were originally founded in lieu of a vocational school to train government employed imams but now its not only for imams also it trains students for the vocational, anatolian and other types of high schools in Turkey.

There are 54 Teachers and 1200 students.We have 2 pre-primary, 3 classes primary (4th grade) 24 Vocational Secondary (Imam Hatip) and 6 General Secondary classes.Shortly there are 3 different types of students are educating now.

Our school is a partner school of Life Long Learning Programme of Turkey ” Get Life to School “ ( Okullar Hayat Olsun) project. It is a very big project including Ministry of National Education, Konya Governorship and Konya Municipality. The project, in the form of non-formal education outside the formal education system, planned, programmed and executed as a systematic form of training. It can be called as a nonformal education policy with an adult education organisation. Also there is Vocational and Non formal courses called KOMEK We will see all the details in the video at the end of this presentation.
