Battlebots is an American competition in which people from all over come with their own robots and fight other robots. Battlebots is also a company that sponsors these competitions. A Battle bot is a robot designed to compete in the Battlebots competitions.

Where did this idea come from? In 1992 Marc Thorpe was messing around in his kitchen he built a radio controlled vacuum. The final product was a violent robot. He then decided to do robot fighting events.

How does this fit into the concept of robotics? The battlebots are a huge milestone in the history of robotics. They provided a whole new future to robotics. When they were created we learned all kinds of new ways to be creative. When you are creating a battlebot there are no strict instruction you can be creative and nothing can stand in your way when you become champion!!!

Some Rules that RULE!!! ☻ A "BattleBots Robot" refers to a robot which has met all BattleBots requirements and has qualified forcompeting in the BattleBots Tournament. “Disqualification” or being “Disqualified” means that, at a minimum, a Team’s robot is no longer allowed to compete in the BattleBots Tournament. The Team name must be unique and not be identical or very similar to the name of a previously-registered Team. BattleBots Inc. reserves the right to reject entries from any Team whose name it deems inappropriate, offensive or conflicting. BattleBots Inc. must be notified during Tournament registration if a Team's name has been changed.
