Partner with Madhav Group to develop Vadodara Solar City  Under the Gujarat PV Rooftop Solar Programme Madhav Group has been awarded to develop KW level MW Scale rooftop projects in the City of Vadodara.  Madhav Group will install & maintain Solar PV Power System on selected rooftop in Vadodara city.  Roof owner will be benefited from Green incentives at the rate of Rs 2/KWh(unit) generated from the Solar Power System installed on his roof.

Project Implementation Structure

Rooftop Solar Projects key Parameter Requirement for Plant design:  Area required for the 1 KW Solar PV system will range from Square feet.  Expected Annual generation of power will range from units / KW installed capacity.  Roof owner will get green incentives at the rate of Rs 2/KWh(unit) generated from the Solar Power System installed on his roof.  Shadow free plain roof will be preferred.

Illustration for Revenue Generation of Rooftop Owner considering shadow free roof Installed PV Capacity (KW) Roof Size (Sq. Ft) Expected Generation (Units/Year) Expected Revenue for roof owner (Rs/Year) ( Note :1 Sq mtr equals to Sq feet) Above calculation is for first year, considering 1550 unit generation per year. From second year the generation get degraded by 0.7-1% annually

Advantages for Roof Top Owners  The Roof Top Owner will have access to a continuous revenue through a Green Incentive of Rs 2/unit energy generated from system installed on the roof.  No capital investment & Recurring cost for Rooftop Owner.  Rooftop solar Power system boost building thermal Insulation thus decreasing building temperature by about 5 degree during day time.  Above cooling effect results in saving of electricity consumption by cooling system of the building, Thus providing indirect saving of 3-5 % on electricity bills.

 Increase in Status and Value of Property by tagging it as a Green building.  Optimization of Rooftop area to deliver maximum value to Rooftop Owner.  Contribution to the environment by Reducing CO2 Emission at the rate of 1.5 tonne/KWh/Year.  Support for public affairs and Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.  Opportunity to Partner with Madhav Group in development of “Aapnu Vadodara Solar City”.

Milestones in Solar Rooftop PV Projects in world  California has achieved installation of 1.5 GW of Solar Rooftop PV Project till November  Japan has completed 10 GW of Solar PV Projects out of which more than 90 % are from rooftops.  LA has launched its ambitious rooftop solar scheme to complete 150 MW of Solar Rooftop Projects.  Germany has announced 52 GW of Solar PV project capacity to be installed in next 3-4 year.

Milestones in Solar Rooftop PV Projects in India  Government of Gujarat has already completed 5 MW Gandhinagar Solar Rooftop Programme.  SECI has announced it’s ambitious project for implementation of Solar Grid Connected Rooftop projects in various Cities of India.  Various states like Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh & Kerala have already introduced incentives for encouraging installation of Rooftop solar power projects.
