What is Blazeguard? Applications Competitive Comparison Handling and Installation Product Literature A Barrier Product

A Barrier Product What is Blazeguard? Structural, fire-rated sheathing - Class A Flame Spread - Extended Burn Through Resistance. Non-combustible, cementicious coating. Two (2) quarts of H ² O in every sheet. Fiberglass reinforced. Environmentally friendly. Mold/Mildew resistant. Can be texturized and painted.

Blazeguard’s cementicious coating over raw oriented strand board (OSB).

Certification stamp stands out against white surface.

History Developed by Weyerhaeuser in the late 1980’s in response to FRT failures. Barrier purchased rights to technology. High incidence of failures and code revisions (BOCA, SBCCI) focused our marketing on the East and South East. Establishment of the International Code Council in 2004 consolidated all codes.
