Stockholm Promotion of Mental Health and Well- being of Children and Young People Need to put more focus on well-being rather than only educational attainment Discussions on five themes: Parenting – Parents should be able to get support; Health services to play key role in promotion and prevention – universal and targeted community based services; Communities to embrace the concept of healthy communities; New Media – creation of advisory mechanisms and partnerships with industry to manage challenges and opportunities; Schools to realise a cultural shift to view good and mentally healthy setting as in line with educational goals.
Next steps – contributions of ProMenPol Communicating outcomes of Stockholm; Thematic conferences Budapest, Madrid and others. Input fromProMenPol needed: ProMenPol designed as a policy supporting research project, ProMenPol interest in visibility For each thematic conference addressing a theme covered by ProMenPol there should be a paper, a toolkit-list and an export of toolkits into the EU Mental Health Compass.
