Great Britain you are tremendous and nobody knows like me but really what are we doing in the land across the sea. Tell me how would you like it if on your way to work you were stopped by Irish soldiers would you lie down do nothing would you give in and go berserk. Great Britain you are tremendous and nobody knows like me in the land across the sea. would you lie down do nothing would you give in and go berserk.

Paul McCartney Paul McCartney was born on June 8 th, 1942 in Liverpool, England. An unexpected tragedy in his life occurred when his mother died when he was 14 years old. In 1957 Paul McCartney met John Lennon and joined his band which later became The Beatles. Soon The Beatles became internationally famous for songs such as “Lady Madonna”, “Back in the USSR”, and “Helter Skelter”. Unfortunately the band broke up in 1970 and McCartney released his first solo album the same year. His new band called Wings became popular in the 1970s. Give Ireland Back to the Irish was an early single by Wings in 1972 that paved the way to the band’s success. Back
