Ireland has dramatically changed over the years leaving behind some of the older traditions but some are the typical Irish blessings tat have fainted over the time and now are not as popular as they used to be in older times. Many of the Irish blessings that are a thing of the past in Ireland are still kept alive by Irish people.

What is an Irish Blessing? With Ireland being famous for its Saints and Scholars it comes as no surprise that its also a country famous for its blessings. Some blessing maybe hundreds of years old while others could have been created last week by any of the saint so what is an Irish blessing? For one thing, Irish blessings is about welcoming, warmth and turning a negative situation into a positive one. Its no wonder the people in Ireland tried to stay positive with its long history of misery. These blessings keeps the Irish people optimist, self believing and courageous to face any problem with the support of their All Mighty.
