An Irish artist Adrian Margey

Where is he from? Adrian Margey is from Kilrea, County Derry in Northern Ireland. Kilrea is a very short distance from our school in Swatragh

About the artist…. At only 28 years of age, Adrian is one of Northern Ireland’s most collectable young artists.

His studio…. Adrian works from his studio at his home in Kilrea.

His styles….. Margey has two very different styles: Traditional- he is inspired by the Irish impressionists Contemporary- he uses bold colours and strong form

Inspirations…. Margey loves the countryside. His paintings include interpretations of favourite scenes from the north coast of Ireland. Some of these include Dunluce castle, Mussenden temple, Downhill beach and the Giant’s Causeway.

Music and Art… As well as his love for music, Margey is a keen musician. He has had roles in musicals and currently sings in a Belfast choir.

His love of music is captured in his paintings
