Purpose of the FACS DLC’s The District Leadership Council (DLC) provides leadership in planning and directing Family & Consumer Sciences (FACS) Education in North Carolina. Special emphasis is placed on staff development for teachers and on conducting activities of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) within the educational district.

Virtual Fall Leadership Training Procedures for those students leading a leadership workshop at District FCCLA Meeting District Advisers will get the State Fall Project Training link to share with the chapter advisers in their district 2 week window to view Posted in September
FCCLA Changes Affiliation System DLG will continue as the online system All chapters will enter their information in order to start with a new fresh data base after August 1 st. You will be able to add all advisers. Rational Streamlining lessens the burden on classroom teachers and eases the task of having to fill so many positions Positions reflect the changes in NC FCCLA policies and procedures, especially since we no long conduct district-level competitive events Allows for flexibility and local variation, regarding the “Staff Development Coordinator” role Treasurer ensures consistency and allows other DLC members to focus on programmatic responsibilities
