What is ADAPT?  Community of Interest focused on adoption of agile methods in DoD  SME’s with similar interests –Government organizations looking to change –Industry practitioners (consultants, tool vendors, contractors, etc) –Academia investigating adoption of agile  Minimal organization  Active  AGILE! 4

Meeting Objective  Topic: Organizational Transformation For Agile and Lean Environments –As a someone involved in DoD IT programs –I want to understand the important areas of organizational transformation for Agile and Lean environments –so I can share my experiences and lessons learned with others and leave with ideas that I can take back to my organization to help improve our ability to meet mission success. 5

Small Group Discussion 8  Round 1: (20 min) Assumptions: Your team believes in the adoption of agile practices and is looking for ways to make change happen in your organization. Based on these assumptions and your own experiences, discuss the following with your team and record your team’s responses: 1.What do you think is needed most to begin the transition in your organization? 2.What do you think is your organization’s greatest impediment to agile adoption? 3.Based on the presentation and the Initial Framework, select 1 activity from the *3 major categories (Outreach, Support, Measures) that your team thinks is the most and important and explain why. Prioritize if you have time.  Group Discussion(15 min) *Please assign someone in your team to capture the team’s suggestions/thoughts and be Timekeeper
