Basic Information Morning component: 3½ hrs –196 multiple choice questions 7 sections x 28 questions, submitted immediately following completion 5 options/questions – only 1 correct answer May include results from diagnostic test (e.g. ECGs, X-rays, photos, etc.) No deduction for wrong answers, so GUESS!

Basic Information Afternoon component: 4 hrs –Clinical decision-making (CDM) Short-menu and short-answer case-based questions About 60 cases; 1-4 questions per case non-validated “test cases” – do not count May need to ask for more info, order diagnostics, make diagnoses, or prescribe therapy Be specific with diagnoses, doses, etc. READ carefully! –Not following instructions will result in a score of ‘0’
