Fractions Common Denominators Comparing Fraction Prime Factors

Fractions have a numerator and denominator – Numerator is the top number – Denominator is the bottom number Fractions that are equivalent are equal in value even when there numbers are not

These can be created by multiplying or dividing the numerator and denominator by the same number What do you multiply by to get them equal?

Fill in the missing number:

NumberRuleExample 2Number ends 0, 2, 4, 6, 8208, 116, 810 3Sum of digits divisible by Number formed by the last two digit divisible by Number ends with 5 or 025, 3005, 200 6Number is divisible by 2 and Sum of the digits is divisible by 9810, 720, Number ends in 0800, 900, 640

342 is divisible by 3 – = 9 – 9 ÷ 3 = is divisible by 2 because the last digit is 2 – is also divisible by 9 – = 9 – 9 ÷ 9 = 1
