DO NOW 26 FEB Embed the following quote from David Allen’s book, Living on the Edge. “No one knows what it’s like being me. I’ve suffered 23 strokes, been stabbed four times, and have spent the last thirty years in jail.” (pg. 38)

Stephanie’s art was in galleries and a painting that looked like a scene of mud to some, sold for $10,000 (Benthin 21).

Benthin’s boyfriend believes that her $10,000 piece looks like mud (Benthin 21).

Stephanie Benthin sold a painting for $10,000 even though it did not seem as valuable to others (Benthin 21). Benthin’s boyfriend was astonished that a $10,000 piece of art looked like mud to him (Benthin 21). Stephanie became successful as an artist by selling a piece for $10,000 that her boyfriend couldn’t see the value in (Benthin 21).

Students should not pick a college based on partying because, as Yokum said, “Students who select colleges because of the potential for partying are often sadly disappointed” (33).

Students have a better time at college because of the “variety of options available to them” (Smith 3).

In college, “students can expect to find a wider variety of options” than they may be used to (Smith 20). Yokum stated, “students who select colleges because of the potential for partying are often sadly disappointed” because they won’t be partying at their jobs (34).
