Gen. 4:8-12

 Am I responsible for him?  The answer is an emphatic yes! – John 13:  This includes edification – Rom. 14:17-19  As well as forgiveness – Eph. 4:31-32  Note that this is not an superior role

 What is our expectation?  That as their “keepers”, they serve us, or the other way around – Gal. 5:13-15  How do we show the love we are to have towards them?  Hospitality is one way – 1 Pet. 4:8-10

 A most critical time for brotherly love  Our reaction is mainly dependent on the previous relationship – Heb. 10:24-25  Do you know your brothers & sisters?  If so, be willing to bear their burdens, lighten the load – Gal. 6:1-2

Being a part of any family means taking responsibility. It is no different with God’s children. If we will not look out for one another, who will? This should mean even more to Elders and teachers!
