With a partner and using your notes, review the ABCDQ’s of caption writing. What do they stand for? How do you write them? A = Action, written in present tense BC = Another sentence (or two) of details in past tense DQ = A descriptive quote ABCDQ Review
1.Pivot to groups of four 2.Find great photos (cut out or print) for your page 3.Come up with a title—Clear & Interesting 4.Write ABCDQ captions for each picture 5.Mock them up on paper—graded as a group Keys to success: Assign roles (photos, title, captions, design) Plan today, create tomorrow—and Wednesday? Be prepared to present your page to the class as a group Find inspiration from other publications (and yearbooks) GROUP PROJECT: Build a Mock Page
