Europe for Citizens (I) active European citizenship This programme supports a wide range of activities and organizations promoting “active European citizenship”, especially the involvement of citizens and civil society organizations in the process of European integration. EACEA Responsible body: EACEA – Education, audiovisual and culture Executive Agency Active Citizens for Europe share and exchange experiences, opinions and values encourages meetings, exchanges and debates Action 1 – Active Citizens for Europe -> is directed specifically at activities involving citizens, i.e. : bringing together people from local communities across Europe to share and exchange experiences, opinions and values; encourages meetings, exchanges and debates among European citizens from different countries.
Europe for Citizens (II) Town Twinning citizens’ meetings Measure 1.1 – Town Twinning citizens’ meetings – to reinforce the participants’ commitment to European integration. Partnership: Min. 2 municipalities from 2 States, Duration: max 21 days Budget (flat-rate): max € Network of Twinned Towns thematic and long-lasting cooperation between towns Measure 1.2 – Network of Twinned Towns – the potential of the networks created by a series of town twinning links should be used for developing thematic and long-lasting cooperation between towns. AGRI-TWIN s’ Objectives (I) expand knowledge, contacts and cooperation to expand knowledge, contacts and cooperation between the towns on policies of common interest; overcome the stereotypes of mere political declarations to overcome the stereotypes of mere political declarations signed between municipalities, motivating the grass-root level to actively and pro-actively participate in the project realization; network knowledge transfer and deepen contact the establishment of a network which will enhance knowledge transfer and deepen contact between the project authorities and the local populations;

AGRI-TWIN s’ Impacts (II) Short term Short term: e-learning the e-learning course will represent an added value for those participants willing to expand their knowledge regarding the CAP; widen contacts to widen contacts for all the participants involved; deepeningintercultural portfolio various festivals promoting typical products, traditions and folklore will offer to the target group the chance to experience new tastes and sounds, deepening their intercultural portfolio.

AGRI-TWIN s’ Visibilty and Follow-up (I) INFO DAYs National INFO DAYs; Letters of Intent and Twinning Agreements Letters of Intent and Twinning Agreements will be signed, to formally mark the commitment for future collaboration; Celebration of the signature of the Twinning Declarations Yearly Celebration of the signature of the Twinning Declarations will be organized maintaining the political and civic momentum of the initiative; show-room Each project municipality will set-up a show-room delivering project materials and information about the partners region;
AGRI-TWIN s’ Visibilty and Follow-up (II) photo exhibition A photo exhibition open to everybody will be organized, capturing the “best project moments”, being then the project outputs at disposal of a broader public; electronic newsletter An electronic newsletter - to inform the audience about the projects development and the activities in the pipeline; Local bulletins Local bulletins in the partner’s municipalities will as well anticipate and summarize the project activities; project web-sitejointpublication promo DVD The project web-site, a joint publication and a promo DVD.
AGRI-TWIN s’ Conclusions Learning from each other Learning from each other through formal and informal methods will contribute to a better comprehension of the concreteness of the EU policy in the daily lives; create synergies closer partnership for future activities The joint events will be the best moment to create synergies between the local authorities and the local communities building up a closer partnership for future activities, creating also preconditions for long-lasting cooperation initiatives between the project partners; mutual cultural exchanges Through mutual cultural exchanges and through the interaction between Member States and Candidate Countries essence will be given to the concept of the European Union.
