TRANSFORMERS AGENTS OF CHANGE “CONNECTED TO THE LAMB”

Romans 12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

2 Samuel 12: 1 Then the L ORD sent Nathan to David. And he came to him, and said to him: “There were two men in one city, one rich and the other poor. 2 The rich man had exceedingly many flocks and herds. 3 But the poor man had nothing, except one little ewe lamb which he had bought and nourished; and it grew up together with him and with his children. It ate of his own food and drank from his own cup and lay in his bosom; and it was like a daughter to him. 4 And a traveler came to the rich man, who refused to take from his own flock and from his own herd to prepare one for the wayfaring/traveling guest man who had come to him; but he took the poor man’s lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him.”

2 Samuel 12: 5 So David’s anger was greatly aroused against the man, and he said to Nathan, “As the L ORD lives, the man who has done this shall surely die! 6 And he shall restore fourfold for the lamb, because he did this thing and because he had no pity.” 7 Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man! Thus says the L ORD God of Israel: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul to him.”

John 15: I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. John 15: 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John 15: 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples

THE DAVID WE KNOW! 1.He Knew God as Savior, Source and Strength. 2.His Relationship to God was as Worshipper, Warrior and Winner. 3. He was connected because he maintained the right perspective, he had passion for the things of God and he pursued the heart of God. NOTE: The place/area of your life in which you yield your will to God is the place/area in which you will be empowered.

Then the L ORD sent Nathan to David. 4 And a traveler came to the rich man, who refused to take from his own flock and from his own herd to prepare one for the wayfaring/traveling guest man who had come to him; but he took the poor man’s lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him.” 22 NATHAN STORY

Exodus 12:3 every man must present a lamb 3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house: 4 And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbor next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb. Exodus 12: 5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: 6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. 22

LESSON LEARNED 1.The core of your belief system has to do with who you believe God is and how God see you and how you see God. You must guard your perspective of God, keep your passion for the things of God and always be in pursuit of the heart of God. 2.The Lamb of God, Jesus Christ must be the center of your life is He is to be the Lord of your life. No person place position or political interest should replace the Lamb in your Life. 3.When confronted with sin or hidden things in your life, you must deal with them quickly or they will deal with you. (Saul-Rebellious & David-Repented )

22 2 Samuel 12: 5 So David’s anger was greatly aroused against the man, and he said to Nathan, “As the L ORD lives, the man who has done this shall surely die! 6 And he shall restore fourfold for the lamb, because he did this thing and because he had no pity.” 7 Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man! Thus says the L ORD God of Israel: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul to him.” David Repents-2 Samuel 12: 13 So David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the L ORD.” And Nathan said to David, “The L ORD also has put away your sin; you shall not die.

TRANSFORMERS AGENTS OF CHANGE “CONNECTED TO THE LAMB”

1 Corinthians 11: For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. 27 Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. 28 A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup. 29 For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself. 30 That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep. 31 But if we judged ourselves, we would not come under judgment. 32 When we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned with the world. (NIV)

1. WE LOOK BACK - “you proclaim the Lord’s death” (1 COR 11:26) First, we look back to the cross. We are reminded of our Lord’s sacrifice; how He gave himself unselfishly and completely, for the atonement of our sins. 2. WE LOOK WITHIN - “A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup.” (1 COR 11:28) The second look is to the present or within — here and now. We look at ourselves: what do we see? What are we doing with our lives? How are we living? Are we striving for holiness? Do we put Jesus first in our lives – are we totally committed to Him. 3. WE LOOK AROUND - “Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all partake of the one loaf.” (1 COR 10:17) The third look is to the brothers and sisters around us – we give thanks to God for our Christian family. No man is an island, we need one another. 4. WE LOOK AHEAD - “until he comes” (1 COR 11:26) The fourth look is to the future. Are we looking forward to the time when He will come again and we will have Communion with our Lord in His kingdom?
