BIBLE TRUTH CONCERNING CHRIST’S ASCENSION AND EXALTATION Moreover, brethren, I (Paul) declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:1-2

I. The most important part of the Gospel exactly is: Christ died for our sins as the scriptures say. He was buried, and three days later he was raised to life, as the scriptures say. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

II.Eyewitness of Christ’s Resurrection and Ascension  Christ appeared to 12 apostles.  More than 500 brothers and sisters at once. 1 Corinthians 15:5-7  Christ ascended from the Mount of Olivet into the heaven. Acts 1:9-12  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

III.The Consequences of Denying the Resurrection  What will we do if Christ is not risen?  If Christ is not risen, the there will be no resurrection of the dead.  If Christ is not risen, our preaching is useless and our faith is vain.  Our sins stay hopelessly. 1 Corinthians 15:12-14  I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. John 8:24

IV. The Gospel To A Deaf Buddhist In Japan  Buddhist: His idea of different religions around the Egyptian pyramid to worship the same gods.  Christian evangelist: Who ascended with the bodily resurrection to the heaven from pyramid?  The Bible truth: More than 500 brothers and sisters eye witnessed that Christ was risen clearly.  Buddhist: He was taken to mental illness hospital. Hebrews 12:15 says that bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.

V. The Bible Truth: Salvation belongs to the Lord in Psalm 3:8  Do you believe in the ascended Lord?  The Bible Truth in Luke 24:50-53 tells:  “And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.  And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.  And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:  And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.”

 The most important question: What must I (the jailer) do to be saved?  “And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?  And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” Acts 16:30-31  Invitation: You come toward God now and ask Him to forgive your sins.
