Bachelor programme

To make students aware of heterogeneity as a social and pedagogical problem

By the end of the modulke students will be able:  to differentiate (to distinguish between) various problems of heterogeneous groups  to difine different educational needs of various heterogeneous groups  to regard heterogeneity as a norm  Students will be aware of national and international legal documents regulating the status of different representatives of heterogeneous groups

Unit 1 Introduction The concepts of „Heterogeneity“, „Pluralism“. Diversity as a norm. Inclusion and inclusive education. Unit 2 Migration and pluralism in a modern society The problems of migration in a modern society. Types of migration. Its influence on heterogeneity of social groups. Legal documents concerning migration.

Unit 3 Pedagogical aspects of social inequality and disability in children´s environment Theoretical approaches towards different concepts – „social inequalty“, „disability“. The problems of inclusive education of heterogeneous groups. Legal documents concerning social inequality and disability.

Unit 4 Gifted children Concepts of „creativity“, „gifted children“. Different kinds of talented children. Difficulties of gifted children and their educational needs. Evaluation of the level of gifted children development. Support of gifted children in heterogeneous groups.

Unit 5 Gender aspects of heterogeneous environment The problems of gender inequality (historical overview). Gender theories. Gender research in sociology, psychology, pedagogy. Gender relationships at different levels (microlevel, macrolevel). Gender relations in heterogeneous groups.
