Seed Data Input Workshop

OH 1 Objectives Identify the preparation steps for seed data input. Review the job aids used for input. Review the expectations and purpose of seed data input. Review the curriculum flow and it’s relation to the seed data and the FSFN system.

OH 2 The FSFN System The FSFN System continues to evolve and change These changes will continue to impact the Integrated Curriculum. All Seed Data must be entered during an open data window to be saved for continued use.

OH 3 Expectations & Purposes of Seed Data To familiarize yourself with the process of inputting the necessary seed data to train the integrated pre- service curriculum. Develop the ability to teach others, to assist with the continued data entry during scheduled open data windows. Continue to maintain and update seed data after the implementation of new FSFN releases and builds.

OH 4 Prior to entering Seed Data you must: Ensure agency user IDs and Passwords are set-up and activated. DCF Helpdesk Be knowledgeable of the flow and content of the integrated pre-service curriculum. Have proficient knowledge of FSFN

OH 5 Preparation Desktop Clean-up Prepare User IDs Review curriculum, scenarios, job aids and case materials

OH 6 Used to create intakes. Used to transfer intakes to other IDs. Can accept cases for approvals. Super User (Trainer) Must be used to create all individual pieces of work (e.g. safety assessments, case plans, removal episodes, etc. Only have the initial approval level Worker (trainee) Understanding log-in profiles (seed data booklet page 7)

OH 7 Supervisor Role/Job Class Super User System Generated Security User Group Ensuring profiles are adjusted appropriately for each log in will bypass the system restrictions that are applicable in the production region, providing the ability for all user IDs to create all types of work in the case and perform approvals. OH 18 FSFN seed data cases Sandra and Sam Maltreatments: There are allegations that the mother and father are heard fighting on a frequent basis and the children do not have clothes adequate for the cold weather. Jacqueline Assessment: There are allegations of medical neglect pertaining to the oldest child and hazardous conditions for all children. Buddy Removal and Placement and Adoptions: Buddy is brought to the ER by his grandmother and determined to have a spiral fracture of the arm and old healing fractures of the ribs.

OH 19 FSFN seed data cases Angela Investigative Response, Case Planning, & Ongoing Assessment and Permanency (trainer led): The mother and father are alleged to be under the influence of drugs, the father allegedly is selling drugs from the home and the children are often left unsupervised. Barbara Investigative Response, Case Planning, & Ongoing Assessment and Permanency (practice): The children were alleged to be left home alone for 12 hours. When the parents finally arrived home they were drunk.

OH 20 Angela & Barbara Follows the case flow process from investigation through dependency and case closure. Provides the opportunity for trainer guided and independent learner practice. Used for IR, CP, & OAP Due to the weekly refresh of the FSFN system. Each case (Angela & Barbara) needs 3 intakes/cases. For example: FMHIIROne, Angela A FMHICPOne, Angela A FMHIOAPOne, Angela A Why does there need to be duplicate seed data input?

OH 21 FSFN seed data cases Stephen Institutional: There are allegations that Stephen was hit by his teacher. Rosemarie Request for Assistance: Rosemarie is blind in her left eye and ran away from home, her parents are homeless and in need of assistance. Andrea Child-on-Child Referral: Andrea and Jimmi were at Manny’s home and Manny told them to get on top of each other and showed them how to “hump”.

OH 22 Wrap-up This is first in a series of open data windows to allow for the completion of data entry. There is no expectation for you to complete all data entry during this workshop. Rolling out the integrated curriculum can occur over the next six months. Support and ongoing guidance is available.
