Energy efficiency - Why bother? Cost of Domestic Energy: Typical Bristol Home: 13.5MWh/yr gas (£513) 3.8MWh/yr elec (£531) Sources: DECC energy statistics 2009 & Bristol Quality of Life Surveys 2011 Prices from DECC; 14p/kWh elec, 3.8p/kWh gas 44% of Bristol residents would like to reduce this!

European Local ENergy Assistance ELENA technical assistance grant of 2.6m euros will provide us with additional staff/consultancy resource for 3 years Can be spent on developing investment proposals to domestic & public sector buildings Requirement is to deliver investment at least 25 times the grant Investment can be committed or delivered via internal or external sources (including grants, private sector investment, etc)
