Our Field Trip to the Green Hills Library February 2015

Ms. Anetsberger’s preschool class went on a field trip to the Green Hills Public Library!

When we arrived at the library, we met a very nice librarian named Ms. Amanda. We all sat around the story time rug and she read us the story, “Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons”. After the story we each got our own Pete the Cat necklace. We got to visit four different areas in the library and received a button for Pete at each stop!

Our first stop on the tour was at the circulation desk. Ms. Amanda told us that this is where we can get our very own library card and return and check out books. This is where we earned our first button for Pete!

Next, we got to visit the Media Room. Ms. Amanda told us that this is where we can watch movies, play Xbox, and even play at the i pad station. This is where we earned our second button.

As we continued on our tour we saw where we can find non fiction books as well as books that would be perfect for us when we start read.

Next we got to visit the children’s area. In this area we got to see the big fish tank and practice checking out books at the self check out. We also earned our third button!

Our last stop on the tour was at the play station in the children’s area. They have puzzles, a Lego Duplo wall, a playhouse, and much more! This is where we earned our last button for Pete. All of the children loved our visit to the Green Hills Library!
