The Past Progressive : ( was, were)+ V ing  I was walking down the street when it began to rain.  At eight o’clock last night, we were studying.  Last year at this time, I was attending school.  ( He, She, I, It, )+ was  (We, They, You ) + were

What tenses are used in both parts of each sentence?  While I was studying in one room, she was having a party in the other room.  ======================  It rained this morning. =  It was raining this morning.
