This rule does not prevent Knights of Columbus fraternal publications from accepting ads or running stories on such types of insurance as property, fire & casualty which are not provided by the Knights of Columbus. Section of the by-laws of the Knights of Columbus prohibits any member or officer of a council from using his title or membership in the Knights of Columbus to promote the sale of any life insurance, annuity, or long term care insurance product other than those issued by the Knights of Columbus. The name, emblem, member’s affiliation with the KC’s or anything connected with the KC’s should never be used to promote any insurance products other than those issued by the Knights of Columbus.
