 Flexible  Flex + ible (able)  Literal definition – able to bend  Dictionary definition – (adj) capable of bending easily without breaking  The new garden hose is very flexible.

 Genuflect  Genu (knee) + flect  Literal definition – bent knee  Dictionary definition – (v) to lower one’s body briefly by bending one knee to the ground, typically in worship or as a sign of respect  When the queen walked by, her subjects genuflected.
