The Student Voice A Comenius Project

Aims of the Project: To promote the democratization of student society. To develop intercultural dialogue and a sense of community. To establish a sense of common European identity amongst pupils.

Integral values of the Project: Overcoming the problems of stereotyping and prejudice. Reflecting upon ones own position in Europe. Identification with the concept of European Citizenship. Promotion of political awareness and active citizenship.

Our Comenius history 1.European Citizenship ( ) 2.EuroMag.net ( ) 3.EuroWork ( ) 4.Student Voice ( )

How have we progressed since the start of the project? In Canterbury, London, Berlin and Flensburg the results of a student survey showed that Comenius had helped students learn to value their voice. In Barcelona and Uherský Brod pupils see the schools as still democratizing.

Achievements so far: GoodFella / Club Cards Central Website European Student Planners Teacher evaluation programmes A clear and concise Student Council structure A work experience exchange programme

Future Plans: Having developed our student councils and unions as a direct result of our participation in the Comenius Project we can now move to make increments elsewhere: Student participation. European identity and individual identity. Integration of the internet with our project.
