Design Ideas 1. Child Proof Stove: When food gets too hot the stove automatically cuts off. The stove does not react to human touch it has a built in cleaning material and only heats food that is in a pan. (This stove has already been invented so we cannot do this project.) 2. Mind Control car: The mind control car is a great invention that enables people to control their cars with a thought. This invention would be too complicated and there is more con's than pro's, so this project is impossible. 3. Super Oven: An oven that you can control by the push of a cell phone button. This oven also has a feature that converts from an oven to a freezer, keeping the food cool throughout the night.

Mentor’s Comments The Child Proof Stove is indeed a great idea but it has already been invented. A thought controlling the actual movement of a car is a great luxury, but the procedures to take up this idea would be impossible for young adults such as yourself. I feel that this idea is truly something special. You all have brought something fresh and new to the table, and I feel that with a little bit of my help that the four of you can indeed pull this off.

Greg Jones

Decision/Design The super oven was created by the Melting Pot Company, specializing in stoves and ovens. This oven is equipped with a special feature that lets you power your oven with your cell phone form anywhere within the state. The stove also has a feature that converts the stove to a freezer or refrigerator, keeping the food cool throughout the night.

History In 1706 Benjamin Franklin invented the iron furnace stove or 'Franklin Stove'. Frans Wilhelm Lindqvist designed the first sootlesskerosene stove. Jordan Mott invented the first practical coal stove in British inventor, James Sharp patented a gas stove in 1826, the first successful gas stove to appear on the market.

Prototype

Lessons Learned What parts of the process were helpful to you as you did your project? - The mentor was helpful during this project because with his prior experience with electronics, it was possible to create the super stove. What parts failed? - No parts failed except for the other two ideas that were already invented. What would you do better next time? - We would add another feature such as a a control from your car or any other hand held device.

Lessons Learned (CONT’D) What would you change? - We wouldn't change anything.
