The Indirect Object In English the indirect object follows the verb just as Direct Object does. Indirect Object is the person or thing to whom or for whom the action is performed. Ex.) I write a letter (direct object) “to my friend” (indirect object) Indirect object gets the Direct object.

What to do when there are two verbs in a sentence When you have two verbs you can always put it directly in front of the conjugated Ex: Yo le voy a dar un regalo. (a Maria) However, now that you have two verbs you have two different options You can attach the pronoun to the end of an infinitive or a present participle Ex: Yo voy a darle un regalo. (a Maria)
