VERBOS REFLEXIVOS CHAPTER 7

-SE  A verb is made reflexive by adding “se” to the infinitive form…for example:  Lavar means to wash  Lavarse means to wash oneself  Poner means to put  Ponerse means to put on oneself  Lets practice with the following reflexive verbs

Ducharse – to shower oneself

Afeitarse –to shave oneself

Lavarse – to wash oneself

Peinarse – to comb ones hair

Cepillarse – to brush ones hair

Lavarse…o…cepillarse los dientes

Verb + Reflexive verb  In the situation where another verb precedes a reflexive you will conjugate the first verb, leave the reflexive verb in the infinitive form and attach the reflexive ending that corresponds with the appropriate person. For example:  Necesitas ducharte  Necesito lavarme las manos  Tengo que irme

What does Homer need to do?

Ask a partner how often they do the following:  Con que frecuencia…..  Te duchas?  Te afeitas?  Te lavas?  Te peinas?  Te cepillas?  Don’t forget your words of frecuencia (a veces, muchas veces, nunca, y siempre)
