/11 7th Agricultural Ontology Service Bangalore, India 4 GEOSS 10 Years Plan The global environment is lying on trans-disciplinary fields, including... GEOSS has begun to make efforts to supply data and information at no cost by collecting data, enhancing data distribution, and providing models for global environment. Hydrology Geography Biology Ecology Agriculture

/11 7th Agricultural Ontology Service Bangalore, India 7 DB DBDB 気象用語 农业农业 เกษตร กรรม 농업 To guarantee data quality or reliability. To understand Trans - disciplinary database by translation of heterogeneous “term” Health Science Climatology To know where data is and what format is, and to access to heterogeneous system. biology term Hydrology term Agriculture term Landuse Classification schema Development of Semantic Network Directory system (collection, comparison, editing etc.) Development of Ontology Service System by using Semantic Network Directory system

/11 7th Agricultural Ontology Service Bangalore, India 8 Framework for Semantic Network Dictionary Semantic Network Dictionary Created dictionary is registered to the system again. Clarifying ontological expression Visualizing relationship between terms  Providing reference information to users (2) Browse Modification of registered information on the system  newest information (3) Modification Collection and registration the semantics (1) Registration (4) Utilization Support of technical term Data Integration Constriction of data model Providing integrated information Utilizing as knowledge Information retrieval future work

/11 7th Agricultural Ontology Service Bangalore, India 9 Semantic Network Dictionary System To collect, manage, and compare ontological information such as data dictionaries, classification schemas, terminologies, and thesauri for the global observation data. Data sharing and data service such as support of metadata design, structuring of data contents, support of text mining is applied for better use of data to the semantic network dictionary system. As a trans-disciplinary dictionary including civil engendering, agriculture, classification schema, satellite observation data, and so on. We endeavor to add dictionaries and data model to the system by digitalizing text based dictionaries, developing “knowledge writing tool” for experts.
