Joy took 5 different spelling tests. Her grades were 70%, 75%, 70%, 85% and 100%, This is the mode of her scores.

What is 70%? Mode means the number most often found in a set of data.

The Cleveland Browns scored 42 points in their first game, 28 points in their second game, and 20 points in their third game. This is the range of their points.

What is 22 points? Range is the difference between the greatest number and the smallest number in a set of data.

Look at the table below that shows the number of runs the Indians scored in their first five games. Game NumberNumber of Runs This is the median of the number of runs the Indians scored in their first five games.

What is 5? The median is the middle number in a set of data after the numbers are arranged in order from least to greatest.

Tom ate 2 bananas on Monday, 4 bananas on Tuesday, 4 bananas on Wednesday and 2 bananas on Thursday. This is the mean number of bananas he ate on those four days.

What is 3 bananas? Mean is the average number. To find the average, add all the numbers and then divide by how many numbers there are.

According to the graph below, this is the range of the number of chocolate ice cream cones sold.

What is 14 chocolate ice cream cones? To find the range, find the difference between the highest number (15) and the lowest number (1).

Bill has a certain amount of money in his piggy bank. After helping his mom clean the house, his mom gave him another $10, which he added to his piggy bank. This expression could be written showing how much money Bill has in his piggy bank now. (use x as your variable).

What is x + 10? (or 10 + x)

Judy made 24 cookies to give as presents for 3 friends. She wants to give each friend the same number of cookies. If n represents the number of cookies she will give each friend, this equation could be written to find out how many cookies each friend will get.

What is 24 ÷ 3 = n or 3n = 24

My dog went to the vet two weeks ago and weighed ‘p’ pounds. The vet told me that he had to lose weight. During the next two weeks, my dog lost 10 pounds. This expression could be written to show how much my dog weighs now.

What is p – 10 ?

Last week, Tom earned ‘n’ dollars doing chores around the house. This week he earned $12 doing chores. After both weeks, he had earned a total of $20. This equation could be written to find how much money he earned during the first week.

What is n + 12 = 20 or 20 – 12 = n?

Mr. Linden’s son is ‘x’ years old. Mr. Linden is 30 years older than his son. Mr. Linden is 55 years old. This equation could be written to find out how old Mr. Linden’s son is.

What is x + 30 = 55 or 30 + x = 55 or 55 – 30 = x or 55 – x = 30 (any of the above equations will work!)

This is the greatest of the following numbers

What is 4.7?

Jim ate ¼ of a cake. Sally ate 20% of the cake. This is how much of the cake was eaten in all. (Express your answer as a decimal.)

What is.45 of the cake?

Lee got 18 points out of 20 on a test. This is his percentage grade.

What is 90%?

This is the perimeter of the square below. 2.1 cm.

What is 8.4 cm?

Of the numbers at the bottom of the screen, this is the number between 3/5 and 2/ %

What is 0.62?

Nick measured an angle using a protractor and found out it measured 35 degrees. This is the name for the type of angle he measured.

What is an acute angle?

A B C D This point is in the exterior of angle EDC. E

What is Point A?

Of the following measurements, this is the best estimate for the pictured angle. 42 degrees 138 degrees 90 degrees 20 degrees

What is 42 degrees?

Of the following, this is a proper name for the pictured angle. Angle PQR Angle RQP Angle RPQ Angle QRP

What is Angle RPQ?

D B A C This is the name of an obtuse angle in the picture to the left.

What is Angle ACD or Angle DCA?

Each angle at the base of the triangle is 70 degrees. This is the number of degrees of the top angle of the triangle. 70

What is 40 degrees ? Explanation: The sum of all the angles in any triangle is 180 degrees. The bottom two angles total 140 degrees, so the top angle must be 40 degrees.

This line is parallel to CD AB DC

What is AB or BA?

This formula could be used to determine the perimeter of the above shape. P = 2 x (8 + 4)P = P = 8 x 4 4 cm. 8 cm.

What is P = 2 x (8 + 4)?

The shape pictured to the left is known as a regular dodecagon, which is a twelve sided shape, where all 12 sides are the same length. If each side is 10 cm. long, this is the perimeter of the shape.

What is 120 centimeters?

n The width of the rectangle pictured below is n units long. The length of the rectangle is 4 times the width of the rectangle. If n = 2 inches, this is the perimeter of the rectangle.

What is 20 inches? Explanation: According to the information, the shorter side is 2 inches long. Since the longer side is 4 times the shorter side, the longer side must be 8 inches long. If you add up two shorter sides (2 + 2) and 2 longer sides (8 + 8), you will get an answer of 20 inches.
